Cindy Johnson has been a dancer all her life and truly enjoys helping others become comfortable on the dance floor. She began her training and teaching career at the Arthur Murray Studio in Fort Worth, Texas, progressing to a Professional Rising Star Champion. Moving to Atlanta in 1984, she was privileged to teach with Jackie Walls at what became Atlanta Ballroom Dance Centre. Since then she has coached singles, couples and groups in social, performance and competitive styles of Smooth, Standard, Rhythm, Latin, Swing and Country dancing.
Cindy DJs and MCs many local ballroom dance parties, competitions and social events (ABDC, USA, Atlanta Dance, Coolanta) and was “Deck Captain Extrordinare “ for the Southeastern Regional Amateur Championship during its Atlanta years.
Cindy is presently teaching social dancing in Smooth, Rhythm, Swing and Country. She offers private lessons, group classes and periodic workshops for male and female dancers (beginner through advanced) who are interested in the joy of the journey of learning to dance. It is, after all, a most pleasurable and personal form of communication—something everyone can use more of.
