Massey Turpin was born in Athens, Georgia and started dancing at the age of three, starting with ballet and later adding tap, jazz, and contemporary. Later in life, Massey was introduced to ballroom dancing and realized at that time that ballroom dancing would be her career.
After training for one year in ballroom dance, Massey placed 2nd at the United States Dance Championships in Open to the World American Rhythm. Massey has had the honor of training with other World Champions such as Emmanuel Pierre-Antoine, Maxim Kozhevnikov, Liana Churilova, and Karina Smirnoff, just to name a few.
As an instructor and a professional competitive dancer, she has taken great pleasure in teaching people the art of ballroom dancing and helping them meet their goals as she works to meet her own.
